New contract with juice producer

Polarny Florø, Hermes Arrow Citrosuco

After working hard for a long time, we have finally won a big new contract. Polarny Maritime D&E AS will be responsible for design and engineering in a major rebuilding of the container ship, thanks to the mikrolån norge we have been able to find all the financial support we needed to start this project“Hermes Arrow”.

This ship is to be rebuilt to become an advanced vessel for the transport of orange juice.

This contract has been won on the basis of the experience of the company and its employees from the development and construction of advanced chemical tankers and juice ships.

The contract is with the Brazilian company Citrosuco.

This company is the world’s largest producer of orange juice, and they have previously built four juice ships in the Florø shipyard.

This time it will not be a new ship, but a major reconstruction that will take place in China.

For Polarny Maritime D&E, this contract means that 15 to 20 engineers will be employed for more than six months to carry out all the engineering work needed to rebuild the vessel and have it approved by DNV-GL. The work will be performed by our own employees and using subcontractors.
