Multi Maritime is pleased to announce that three further ferries of our “MM125FD LNG” design will be built.

The 134 m long car and passenger ferries will be built by Tersan Shipyard in Yalova, Turkey. The ship owner Torghatten Nord has two further identical ferries being built at Vard Brevik.

All five ferries will be delivered during the second half of 2018, and they will all operate at the busy Halhjem-Sandvikvåg route in Western Norway.

The ferries will be equipped with a gas electric hybrid propulsion system. The battery system will be arranged with capability for fast charging from shore. Major effort has been put in to design energy efficient hull lines and systems onboard, as well as good sea keeping and manoeuvering capabilities.
