Boreal orders three car ferries of Multi Maritime design

Boreal Transport Nord AS has ordered three car ferries of Multi Maritime design. The contract with the builder Fiskerstrand BLRT AS was signed March the 27th in Stavanger. The contract also includes an option for a fourth ferry. Delivery i schedueled for ultimo 2013.

The ferries will be able to accommodate 50 cars and 250 passengers, and the passengers can enjoy the scenery from a panorama lounge situated above the vehicle deck. Two of the ferries will have a closed vehicle deck, and will be suitable for operation in exposed waters.

The ferries will operate in the Sandnessjøen area in northern Norway.
