Plug-in hybrid refit for MF Selbjørnsfjord

The car ferry Selbjørnsfjord (built 2010) will refitted with a plug-in hybrid propulsion system at Los Marine. The ferry was originally built with a gas electric propulsion system.

Batteries and new power electronics will be installed, and according to plans the ferry will arrive at Los Marine in January 2017.

Multi Maritime has been involved in concept developement and provided technical support to the owner FosenNamsos Sjø. In the continuation Multi Maritime will deliver a detail engineering package.
